Quiet winter time

My three month’s deal at the Säynätsalo Town Hall starts to be in the end. I have had my studio in the first floor and I have been ready for guests on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. I have been surprized how many visitors there has been! Over hundred people have visited the Town Hall even the weather is not at its best and for example the nearby Experimental house is closed for the winter. But in the other hand I have been able to work in an inspirational environment. I have made layouts, started IT projects, planned school book selling project, etc.

I have agreed that I continue at the Town Hall also after next year. The town of Jyväskylä has started a process to find an enterpreneur who would develop activities at the town hall. When the process is over and the new business starts, I will step aside from the current arrangement.

From 8.1.2017 Town Hall will be open for visitors on Sundays 2 pm – 6 pm.

If you wish to visit town hall outside the opening hours, please contact in good time Harri Taskinen (harri.taskinen(at)hotmail.com). At least opening of the doors would be arranged but also a short guidance will be given in many cases.

The winter time is quiet, but also very interesting time in Finland. I attach here some images from Muuratsalo. They are taken in the middle of the day, but the sun is so low that the shadows are blue and only in few spots you will find with yellow or red shades. Even the green color loses its saturation if it doesn’t get any direct sunbeam.
